Wonderful review from Author Wendy Blaxland

'Yvonne Low's first picture book, Windy Washing Day, was launched last Saturday at the BOOKFACE bookshop in St Ives, Sydney. This fun account of what happens when the washing blows from a backyard clothesline into the zoo next door is lovingly and warmly illustrated by Kate Talbot and published by MidnightSun (Adelaide).

Yvonne is already an award-winning illustrator and fine artist. She read this book with her trademark use of excellent props (appearing from a washing basket, of course), showing that she is able to captivate adults and youngsters alike.

It was a pleasure to attend and enjoy goodies including beautiful cupcakes topped by various (edible) animals. An imaginative text using some delightful rhymes and word play, Windy Washing Day will please not just the target audience of small people but also those who read it with them. Congratulations, Yvonne!' (Author Wendy Blaxland)
